Custom buffs and companions, shared.
A curated collection of custom modifiers and companions built by the community. Every download is a Rollwarden export file — in Rollwarden, open Custom Modifiers… and choose From a file.
How to use a preset
- Download a preset below — it's a plain JSON file, the same format Rollwarden's own "Share" button produces.
- In Rollwarden, open Custom Modifiers… on the Modifiers panel and pick From a file, then choose the download. (Settings > Backup & Sharing > Import… takes the same file, if you're already there.)
- Review the preview of what will change, then confirm — it's added alongside your existing custom content, not a replacement for it.
Class packs
A class pack is a curated bundle for one character build — several modifiers in a single import file, covering the class features, subclass features, and racial traits that the built-in list doesn't ship. Import once and the whole kit arrives together. Packs are versioned (the version is stamped in each modifier's description), and re-importing an updated pack replaces your copies in place rather than duplicating them — matched by id. Want a pack for your class? Ask in #showcase on Discord.
Barbarian — Path of the Giant (Goliath)
Three modifiers in one file: Danger Sense (class, level 2) for advantage on Dexterity saves, Elemental Cleaver (subclass, level 6+) with an element picker that scales to 2d6 at 14th, and Fire's Burn (Goliath racial trait) for +1d10 fire on a hit.
One-off presets
Single custom buffs and companions, shared by the community — each file adds one modifier.
Scroll of Fireball
One click, 8d6 fire, and the scroll crumbles — a tile you use, not a modifier you toggle. The save DC rides the tile's note (DEX 15, half on a success), and at zero it stays on your shelf until you restock it. Made with the item builder's Scroll template; yours takes about a minute.
Aura of Hate
The Oathbreaker's level-7 aura: add your Charisma modifier to melee weapon damage rolls. Toggle it on the Oathbreaker's own sheet (it reads your Charisma live), or route it to a fiend or undead companion. Kept separate from the Aura of Protection tile on purpose — your own save bonus is already on your sheet, so this carries only the damage half.
Great Weapon Fighting HB
The homebrew take on Great Weapon Fighting: while wielding a melee weapon in two hands, treat any 1 or 2 as a 3 on every damage die of the attack — the weapon die and rider dice like Divine Favor, Spirit Shroud, or a Smite. Mutually exclusive with the built-in Great Weapon Fighting style.
Book of Unyielding Embers
When you cast a 1st-level-or-higher spell that deals fire damage, treat any 1, 2, or 3 rolled on its fire damage as a 4. Toggle on before rolling the spell's fire damage, then off once it resolves. Usable once per long rest.
Cube of Force
Ten charges, six faces, and every face costs a different number of them — the item that outgrows a tile. Its own panel tracks the pool, spends the right amount for the face you press, and rolls the 1d6 it regains at dawn straight into your roll log. Mid-combat you press Wall of Force; you don't do arithmetic.
Instruments of the Bards
An example of what a panel is for. Each instrument casts its seven or eight spells once per dawn — individually, which a single counter can't express: spend "a use" and nothing can tell you whether you played Fly or Faerie Fire. The panel gives every spell its own state and one Dawn button that brings them all back. All seven ship inside the extension — the Fochlucan bandore through the Ollamh harp — so there's nothing to download here: open the Item Shelf, click ⚙ Manage items, and tick the one your bard actually owns.
Staff of Power
Twenty charges and nine spells that cost between one and six of them — Magic Missile for 1, Wall of Force for 5, Globe of Invulnerability for 6. The panel spends the right number for the spell you press, rolls the 2d8 + 4 it regains at dawn, and rolls the d20 for that last charge (on a 1 the staff loses its magic; on a 20 it finds more). Casts at your own spell save DC, so nothing here restates a number your sheet already has.
Wand of Wonder
Point it, spend a charge, and find out. The panel rolls the d100 and reads the result back to you — all eighteen entries of the 2024 table, including the ones that roll again to resolve themselves: it rolls the 1d10 for which spell, the 1d4 for which creature appears, the 1d4 for what you turned someone into. Regains 1d6 + 1 at dawn, and rolls the d20 that decides whether the last charge is the wand's last day.
Healer's Kit — Battle Medic
For the party healer. Battle Medic spends a use of your kit and one of the target's Hit Dice — two pools, one of them on a sheet you can't see. This kit opens a board with your whole table on it, edited in place: name, class, level, and everyone's HP. It also does the part nobody enjoys. A use can never restore less than your proficiency bonus plus one, so it tells you how many more genuinely can't overheal — and ×3 rolls three of them as one roll.
Vial of Dragon's Blood
Ten minutes of a dragon's speed and sky: a flying speed of 60 feet plus Haste's doubled Speed, +2 AC and advantage on Dexterity saves — no concentration, one dose. Switch it on when you drink it and Rollwarden updates your AC and Speed live; the tile counts the vial down and the + restocks it. The standard potions are in the builder's own potion list, so the gallery is for the ones your DM invented.
Frost Fang
A homebrew dagger that adds 1d4 cold damage — a quick way to give a magic weapon its rider dice mid-game, without editing the item on D&D Beyond. It fires only on the attack actually named "Frost Fang", so it stays out of every other weapon's rolls; rename it to match your own sheet's entry (Custom Modifiers → ✎ Edit → Damage Rolls → "When it applies").
Potion of Acid Coating
Coat a weapon as an action: its hits deal an extra 1d4 acid for an hour. A consumable whose effect lives at roll time — toggle the tile on while the coating lasts, off when it dries. One application per vial.
Submit your own
Built a custom buff or companion worth sharing? Export it with the "Share" button next to any custom entry in Rollwarden, then send it in one of two ways:
Email the file to support@rollwarden.app, or drop it in #showcase on the Rollwarden Discord.
Every submission is reviewed by hand before it's added here — this keeps the gallery a safe download even though it's open to anyone.
